Horseshoe Bend, Glen Canyon Dam, and Page, AZ -- September 2023
Page, Arizona -- September 12, 2023 After leaving the Grand Canyon, we had about a 2 hour drive to Page, AZ. We stopped at Horseshoe Bend, one of the top stops on my list. It is a little before arriving at Page. It is operated by the City of Page, and they charge $10 parking -- cash or credit card. They also provided some very stinky vault toilets, where all did not lock, that we visited before starting the hike to Horseshoe Bend. Trying to pick an entrance, a nice person directed us to the shortest. The dark clouds are coming again, which made a cool picture below, but we kept an eye on them. After a short hike, we arrived at Horseshoe Bend. There was a good crowd but places to either side to get a view and pictures. We picked Paco Tacos in Page for lunch. It was really good. I had steak quesadillas, and Travis had a fish taco and a pork taco. After, we went to the Glen Canyon Dam Visitor Center. The rain began.
