Acropolis and walking around Athens - June 4, 2022: The Acropolis is expensive for four (20 Euros each), but it is Athens, have to visit the Acropolis. Our entry time was between 8-10am. We read to go early for the cooler temperatures and less crowds. Flight and first night in Athens - June 2-3, 2022 Our flight was at 10 am. There was a high chance of rain predicted for our flight day, and it did rain while we were still in bed but stopped for take off. This is also the only rain that we got in the DFW area in June and so far in July -- okay, unrelated. In fact, I noted the cement at DFW drying as we waited patiently for the plane to take off to Atlanta. We got up early, at 6 am. The kids had been out of school since May 27th, but we get up at 6:30 am normally for work. We got ready, breakfast, and wrapped up the last of the packing and house stuff. The airport is about 20-30 minutes from our house, so we left at about 8 am. Travis pre-booked and bought DFW express north parking, which is covered. They have a shuttle that the person at the front organizes based on what terminal you are going to. Since we were on Delta, we were out of terminal E.
