Greece and Turkey – Family Cruise on the NCL Jade – June 2022
Acropolis and walking around Athens - June 4, 2022:
The Acropolis is expensive for four (20 Euros each), but it is Athens, have to visit the Acropolis. Our entry time was between 8-10am. We read to go early for the cooler temperatures and less crowds. We walked and passed some interesting sites along the way.

We did not have to go to the ticket line and just scanned our QR codes that Travis had screenshot for each of our tickets. The entry system shut down twice while our group of four was trying to enter, so it looked like our tickets would not work -- eek. Then they told us it was rebooting, twice. If you have the Rick Steves audio tour downloaded to your phone, bring earbuds or paired bluetooth for two people to listen at once.

Why not rest the Acropolis is tiring and warm?
After the Acropolis, we started another Rick Steves tour in my book. Temple to Olympian Zeus
Historic bathhouse, near a park that we passed on the way to the Parliament building.
Now to the tour start, the Parliament building with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
We went to the grocery story for a snack of ice cream and water and caught the changing of the guards on the way back. Owen found this guy that he wanted a picture with on the way.
Changing of the guards was interesting, and they have very unique uniforms.
The Haribo bear was near the Church of Kapnikarea (below) giving away tasty samples.
I do not remember the name of this church, but keeping with Greece, we are enjoying our gyros near it.
Back at the hotel, we prepared to board the cruise the next morning and re-packed. Excited and hoping the kids did not notice/ask about the scribbled out luggage tags.
